Answers to History Quiz No. l, French and Indian War and American Revolution

Answer: Washington's horse,  Nelson. Sorrel, white stockings, uneven blaze, middle horse,
Alexander Hamilton's, and Mr. Billy Lee's horse, Chinkling.
Commander George Washington, had reddish brown hair and wore his hair in a braid
Later in life he powered his hair which was the style, still had the braid.
Washington's friend, reconnaissance man, kidnapped by the French as a baby so spoke French,
knew the Appalachian Territory and taught Indian techniques of warfare.  His name
Tanacharison, and the British called him Half King of the Senecas.

Here is Mr. Billy Lee as artists of the day painted him.  Spoke two languages, did Washington's finances, best horseman in the Colonies.  People flocked to Mount Vernon to
watch him ride his horse Chinkling  through the virgin forest nearby. Historians of the day called him a slave!  He saved Washington's life more than once and was the son of Colonel John Lee.
