After reading one of my favorite authors, Tony Hillerman’s Skeleton Man, it stirred

up a very unique memory of mine. 

Why do I emphasize Interstate 40 in my game WannaBtruckers?  Well. there are many  reason besides my love for 18 wheelers.   I shall begin with this:   It is approximately close to the Grand 
Canyon, Lake Powell, and the confluence of the Colorado

and the Little Colorado Rivers.   You will use I40,  but other roads, hiking,

and rafting will have to be used too, including the  Hopi Salt Trail,

owned by the Navajo Nation.  (if you travel the I-40 each child should have the boardgame
WannaBtruckers, sold on Amazon).

Ever since my first rafting trip in 1976, this confluence has been in my mind.

The first time my family rafted down the Colorado, we wanted my father-in-law.

Dr. Maurice Strieby, to go with us.   He was born in Colorado and became an inventor

for Bell Labs.  He was famous for his inventions but was very humble and would

be embarrassed that I even mentioned this. 

To make this short, Hillerman’s book SKELETON MAN centers around the Hopi

Salt Trail down to the Little Colorado.  I can’t do the site justice, but it is breath taking,

a turquoise blue with many layered pools and waterfalls that no architect could ever

duplicate.  If you can, take the trip. We did it by rafting.  This scene inspired me to

do a whole series of Southwest Art—and was in the Governor Bent’s Gallery

in Taos.  Ironic because Gov Bent was a mountain man from Charleston, West

Virginia, and I am from Morgantown.  He was the first governor of New Mexico.

Mr. Billy Lee, Washington Depended on Him More Than Alexander Hamilton

Mr. Billy Lee was the son of Colonel John Lee and the Colonel taught young Billy to
ride a horse.  He was a fast learner and spoke two languages and was a wiz at math.
Colonel died and he on his deathbed wanted George Washington to have Billy
and his brother, Frank.

Washington depended on him and his horse, Chinkling for the whole 8 years of
the American Revolution.  He was his right-hand man, on and off the fields of battle.
He also fought in the war and sometimes his uniform was fancier than the Commander-
in-Chief George Washington.  He also was in charge of the General's finances.
He always called Washington, "General."

Do you know this man?  Is there a statue of Mr. Billy Lee and his horse, Chinkling?

Who Was With Washington During Revolution and Signing of the Declaration of
Independence and the Surrender of the British at Yorktown.  He Was With Hs Horse
Chinkling.  Give this man the credit he deserves.  Too bad they don't teach American
history in schools today.  Lorraine Strieby states the facts in her book,

AMERICAN AFRICAN WAS A FOUNDING FATHER

Do you or your college student know that an American African was a Founding Father?

Bet Not.  In two of President Washington's most famous portrait paintings, there is
a man in the background and here he is, Mr. Billy Lee.  After the Revolution, people
came to Mount Vernon not only to see Washington, but to see Mr. Lee.

At war he always was with  Washington because he was the best horseman in the Colonies
and he took care of the finances, as well as the horses and Washington's dalmation,
Madame Moose, whose job was to guard the horses from wolves.

This man was forgotten by historians and can you imagine what Washington said
to the painter--Mr. Lee has to be in this portrait.  He is important to me in the War.

Mr. Joseph H. Ellis won the Pullzer Prize for The Ballad of Bill Lee.  He was  not
a slave.  He was a Founding Father.

Shame on people who have hidden this from the public.  Not Lorraine Strieby.  Read
her book, Why is a Spy Called a Mole, sold on Amazon, soft cover or eBook.

She has almost 4000 fans out there.  Well, to quote the Beach Boys, "if you
want to have fun, fun, fun under the sun"  you need this game for you and
your young ones.

It will teach geography, famous icons, counting, and depends on the trucks
(18 wheelers).  MADE IN THE USA IN BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN.

All the Interstates are on there.  Possibly, a game board for each child
would be a better learning experience for them.

Founding Fathers, Does Your Child Learn About Them?, Introduction of Christopher McMole and Mr. Billy Lee by Lorraine Strieby

Here is Christopher McMole who helped Commander-in-Chief George Washington win
the Revolutionary war.   My name is Mayor Molly McMole and I am so proud of this
Master Spy.  He helped train wolf dogs to howl signals for British ships sailing north,
south or coming into the harbors in Manhattan and Long Island.  He is my ancestor.

He made a perfect spy!  Have you seen one except now.  People think that moles are
nocturnal.  Well, they are up and about all times of the day. They just notice new mole
holes during the light of day--not the mole.  Moles dig tunnels and tunnels under tunnels.

You will find this out when you buy the book from Amazon, Why Is a Spy Called a

Not only that, but you will find out about Mr. Billy Lee who really is one of the founding
fathers.  He was the son of Colonel John Lee and a black woman and they had two sons
Mr Billy Lee and Mr. Frank Lee.  Mr. Billy Lee was the best horseman in the colonies
and was the man who Washington depended on the most--for the whole Revolutionary
