Mayor Molly McMole, Abby, Sophia, and Sophia Visit Italy in
ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME

In Book 3 Ms Abby takes us all to Italy.
Who knew that we moles and Sophia would be so lucky,but Abby loved Sophia and
learned to love us and wanted us to join her on her yearly trips to Italy and Hawaii.
In this painting you can see the places we visited.  Abby rented a motor cycle
and bought a cart for us and somehow she found small helmets for us and
around Rome we went.  We stayed in a fancy hotel near the Four River Fountain that Bernini
sculpted in Navona Square.  What a treat to see all the pigeons on Bernini's statues and the four horses of the
Apocalypse that are on St Mark's Basilica, ride on a gondola, and just be there.
She takes us to Florence too and we really have some adventures in the Ufizzi Museum.
Gus, our Omega Mole always manages to get into trouble and we almost got thrown out of there.
Remember we are moles so we are rarely seen and we know how to fool you.
Well, here the villain starts to show himself, Snookims is his name, a big fat cat who
is starting to show envy of Abby giving Cat Sophia so much attention.
Your kids will learn so much about Italy and famous art pieces.  I can't wait to show
you some of Strieby and Sandro's s sketches. I counted them--250 paintings in 6 books.

Abby, Mayor Molly McMole's Savior

Will here I am again writing for Lorraine Strieby.   I was really

scared by heading on the ferry to the Gulf of Alaska.  There are no moles

there.  It is too cold and the permafrost  brrrrrrrrr.  However,  I

knew that my Cousin Vinnie (the shrew) was in real estate and maybe he could save the day. He is quite talented, building ice castles and selling/renting them so I called him on my cell and he had the

right castle for us, but I was still dubious about the cold and the comfort for my tribe of moles who I really loved and, of course, Cat Sophia, who was the diplomat and could get human friends to help us.  

Well she did while I was trying to keep everyone warm in the ice castle under blankets, Sophia wandered down by the pier where she smelled smoked salmon.  There she met a chef, named Abby, who was a grad from USC and managed the family restaurant, the Hungry Crab.  She met

her husband at USC and he was a super fisherman in Valdez.  Well, Abby fell in love

with Cat Sophia and she brought us food and filled us in on how nice Abby was.

And we slowly met her and she liked being a friend of a mole tribe.

Also

she being used to Southern California, visited Italy and Hawaii during the cold months.

Here, in Alaska we met the villain.  Oh, Strieby is here so I have to say Bye and

hop down my mole hole.

MAYOR MOLLY MEETS A FRIEND

When Mayor Molly McMole and her tribe of moles entered the red Peterbilt they had no idea where they were going.  As it turns out the driver put the container on a ferry in Seattle, Washington, that was on its way to Valdez right on 

the Gulf of Alaska.

Lucky for them Mayor Molly had a cousin Vinnie the Shrew who was

rather shrewd and built and rented ice castles, just what Mayor Molly felt was rather fitting for her flare for fancy palaces.

Then she meets Abby, who was going to be one of her best friends and savior.

Abby has a masters degree in fine art from USC.  Leon, her soulmate is a salmon fisherman in Valdez and since Abby was a foodie she manages the family restaurant, the Hungry Crab.

Moles Keith and Fred had chewed a hole on each side of the Peterbilt container so

you and your tribe will see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Cascade Mountains, Wineries, and Orcas.

What a trip! and remember the adventures are just beginning. 

As it turns out, Vinnie was also a bush pilot and had a tiny plane which will

come in handy.  Mayor Molly McMole really needs Abby and the villain

is still unknown to her, Sophia, and the other moles.

Mayor Molly McMole one morning awoke to a cement parking lot covering all of her 

mole holes and blocking her tunnels.  What to do?

After some thought she decided to get all of her mole friends, Spider Leggs and his web,

Sophia the Cat and jump into a strange car with the trunk open and hide under

a blanket that was convenient lying there.

The older couple shortly came, closed the trunk and they were on their way.  But to where?

Well it was a short trip to Santa Barbara, CA where they escaped out of the trunk

onto the beach where they had never seen an ocean. and "Wow" they saw this guy surfing.

Gus, the Omega mole said "lets do this,"  Well you can guess they pulled the bark off a dead tree

and Sandro painted their surfboards that they chewed into shape, and swam out a little way

and practiced under the stars.  Gus, Sophia,  and Sandro were natural surfers. Others just

lay on their boards but fun was had by all.

Well, what happens next is important because shortly they will meet Abby,

their savior and Molly's cousin, Vinnie the Shrew, which is the

name of the second book,  "Mayor Molly McMole Meets Cousin Vinnie the Shrew."

WHY IS A SPY CALLED A MOLE

Mr. Billy Lee who historians like to call him a slave was anything but that.

He was a Warrant Officer in the Revolutionary War and the friend, relative, and black man who saved Commander in Chief, George Washington's life more than once and was the best horseman in the Colonies who rode a horse named Chinkling.  Now you would think that historians would

write about him more than they have and declare him a forefather since Washington would not go anywhere without him.  Mr. Lee did Washington's finances, fought with him in the Revolution right up there with Alexander Hamilton, but no.  They choose to ignore the fact that Mr. Billy Lee was the son of Colonel John Lee, rode a horse, carried a carbine in the Revolutionary War and in Washington's papers there is an Honorable Discharge declaration for Mr. Billy Lee.  Why do I keep

calling Mr. Billy Lee, Mr? Because Warrant Officers must always be referred to that title when they are no longer a member of the USA Military.  If he were alive today he would make

approximately $168.000 a year.

Today I'm introducing an important character in this Mayor Molly McMole Series.  In the

first book (above cover) She is "hell bent" on destroying Mole Town and these pesky moles,

especially the Mayor per her orders from her owners.

Like all cats, she is an independent soul.  Down deep inside, she has a heart of gold and knows

what is the right thing to do.
