Commander-in-Chief George Washington was a genius at fooling the powerful British and their Commander Cornwallis who turned out to be a coward and a poor sport in the final battle at Yorktown. At the beginning of the Revolution Washington had a ragtag Army--no uniforms, no money, hardly any weapons. Well, Washington had General Henry Knox (who had a mechanical engineering mind). Washington and his men were near Boston. The British fled Fort Ticonderoga and Washington ordered Knox to go to Ticonderoga and bring back anything the British left behind, expecting little. Well, surprise—Knox found a treasure trove, cannons, barrels of gun powder, guns, all kinds of armaments. Knox had sleds made and brought them back to Washington. Mr. Billy Lee, Mystery Man, Who Was He Really, American Hero, Ignored in History Classes

Congress and citizens are clamoring to remove statues in the Capital Building Rotunda.  I suggest a new statue to add--a black Revolution soldier, Mr. Billy Lee.  Someone who we can look up to no matter what race we belong. 

Not to slight Alexander Hamilton  in any way, but Commander-in-Chief Washington wouldn't go anywhere without his Aide, Mr. Billy Lee, notice he is not a slave.  He saved Washington's life in the Revolution more than once.  History has ignored him even though he is in at least six paintings with Washington.

In the above painting who is the soldier standing behind Washington to the left of the US flag?

Mr. Billy Lee was the best horseman in the Colonies and rode a horse named Chinkling.

Two men rode in front of our troops  to battle the British --Washington and Mr. Billy Lee.

Mr. Billy Lee was a celebrity and the Colonists visited Mount Vernon to see Mr. Billy Lee ride Chinkling in a nearby virgin forest. Bill O' Riley calls him an Aide--not a slave.

He spoke two languages and did Washington's finances, not to mention being the best horseman in the Colonies, he and Washington

In closing, a painting by Charles Peale was sold recently for  $23.3 million.  Only two men were in the painting, Commander-in-Chief George Washington and Warrant Officer Mr. Billy Lee.

Mystery Forefather Found in $21.3 Million Painting, by Charles Wilson Peal

In January 2005 painting, of Washington with the mystery man, that historians fail to recognize is not just a soldier, but Aide to Commander-in-Chief, George Washington.  This painting was sold for
$21.3 million. (not mine unfortunately, but my portraits are on the internet).  Now, usually the person in the painting has to pay for the portrait.  Why does Washington insist that this same unnamed soldier appears in at least 6 paintings with Washington's warhorse, Nelson?  Well this soldier is Mr. Billy Lee and Bill O'Riley in his book "Legends and
Lies:The Patriots" calls Mr. Billy Lee, Aide.  O'Riley has a staff that do tremendous research so
since he calls Mr. Billy Lee an Aide, there we go.

One other thing,  Washington insisted that people call Billy Lee, Mr. Billy Lee.
Warrant Officers are special officers that are asked by the Government to join the Military as a Warrant Officer and they are highly regarded.  The present salary of a Warrant Officer is over $150,000 per year..  The British has had these officers since the 1600s.  These officers have valuable skills.

Well some of the skills that Mr. Billy Lee possessed were:
Spoke two languages
Did Washington/s finances
Best horseman in the Colonies on his horse, Chinkling
Saved Washington's life more than once in battle with his carbine
Charming personality, nice to have around
Washington wouldn't go anywhere without him
In fact, maybe he was as important as Washington
He was a celebrity.  Americans came to Mount Vernon to see Mr. Billy Lee
  ride his horse, Chinkling, through a virgin forest!

Now, the reason I wrote about him in my book, Why Is a Spy Called a Mole, is that why has his
story not taught in school? These protesters are tearing down statues of Forefathers because anything goes-- no respect for our history.  We learn from mistakes so history is important.
They are ignorant about this Forefather and are even destroying monuments of black Union soldiers.
Stay with me here, if O'Riley calls Mr. Bill Lee an Aide, Yea!!! Someone else knows he was NOT
a slave.

Go figure...this mystery man is found in early portraits, in uniform, handsome, not-so-much, painted by different artists in different  time periods in his life with Commander-in-Chief and then President George Washington

I've found four, can you find more?

Since he is definitely in uniform why did historians of the day and present call him a slave when in reality he was a Forefather, maybe the most important one because he saved Washington's life more than once.

Instead of Tearing down a Statue Build a Statue for This Hero, Bet You Never Learned About Him in School

You know I'm just Mayor Molly McMole, a furry creature that digs mole holes and loves the USA.
When HBO took off GONE WITH THE WIND that was a body blow to me--a mole.
Lorraine Strieby probably watched the movie 7 or
8 times.  Each time it was timely--Civil War, civil rights,
slavery, women rights, family, great acting, great writing, slaves who were good at what they did,
and good old romance.

They helped the South.  Blacks fought for the Union too you know.  This man pictured here was
the BFF of Commander-in-Chief George Washington, sometimes wore a fancier uniform
than Washington, Warrant Officer Mr. Billy Lee, Honorable discharge, and not only was he the BFF
of Washington, but saved Washington's life more than once.  Was the best horseman in the
colonies.  You weren't taught this in school, and neither was Lorraine Strieby, but she did research.

Margaret Mitchell was the most famous person in Atlanta.  Strieby was in her apartment and
saw her typewriter and Mitchell covered it with a towel so NO ONE could read it before it was finished.

This may have been one of the best accounts of the South and our Nation as it really was.

Doesn't Russia, China, North Korea and other Marxist countries censor what their citizens can
read or watch? Wake up America,  be proud of your country.  The American Constitution
is the best constitution ever, even a few brave men in Russia wanted to copy it, and were
punished and killed for their efforts. 

Can we do something positive here instead of rioting in the streets?  Strieby tried to find out if there was a statue of Mr. Billy Lee, as usual the historians have overlooked this too.  Perhaps there is
a relief of him and Washington in France.

Well, getting back to Mr. Billy Lee--Why not give this forefather a well-deserved statue?  If it weren't for him, saving Washington's
life, our Capitol City might have been Jefferson, Gates, Franklin, who knows?

If you look him up on the internet, the text is rather sketchy on this black hero.  They just don't care,
but two authors received the Pulitzer for writing about him.
